From June 6 to July 26, I will be in Thailand with three college girls building relationships with students at the university in Chiang Mai. We will also be interacting with the local villages and elementary schools spreading God’s Truth. Please pray for our safety and for the lives of the lost people we will get to know.

Monks

Today we had our scavenger hunt around the city. We broke into teams of two and were given a list of places we needed to go. Towards the end of the day, Shauna and I were at one of the many Buddhist temples in the city. We met a group of monks willing to talk with us about their faith and the practice of being a monk. It was the best part of my day. I've always heard of their strict beliefs so I've been intimidated to ever look at them. We saw them sitting near the entrance of the temple with at sign that read, "Come chat with us! Don't just stand looking from afar and walk away." Funny, but is totally what most of us would do. We ended up staying way longer than we had planned, I asked them every question I've ever been too uncomfortable to ask a monk. I'm so excited to have had that opportunity. I promise I am learning so much!

85% of the Thai population are Buddhist. Please be specifically praying for these lost people. They are some of the nicest people I have ever met.
